greggh
The linux realtek 8169 driver was updated in december 2005 to support the 8168 as well. I use the r1000 driver (that same linux driver) on my linux install (which I am in now.) I notice that there is an apple realtek 8169 driver. Just to test it out before posting I changed the 8169 to 8168 and cleared the cache and rebooted. OS X did not see my 8168 (0x816810ec). I am pretty knew to this, I just got it installed last week. So I was wondering whats next? We know the driver for the 8169 on linux supports the 8168 so is there any chance the driver on os x does? mactogo
In the absence of functioning wifi, I'd like to see this working. I've tried editing the 8169 kext but still a no go.
