syklab
I am also trying to install iDeneb 10.5.6 on my Asus U6SG with the following hardware config: Intel Core 2 Duo T8300, 2379 MHz Chipset Intel PM965 ICH8M 2GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce 9300M G (256 MB) Realtek ALC888/S/T Controller IDE Intel® 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller Segate (320 GB, 5400 RPM, SATA) Bluetooth, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN NIC Gigabit Ethernet PCI-E Realtek RTL8168/8111 Installation went fine, when the system rebooted after installation, I got the same Grey Mac logo and hung there. When I booted with the -V option, the last line displayed is: using 10485 Buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO Buffer headers and hung. Now I got stuck and don't know what to do, can anyone help me out or give some idea? I also try to follow the installation guide but couldn't figure out how to specify the different package/driver options like the Voodoo, there is no exit point before the installation and the disk selection. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170701-ideneb-1056/#findComment-1178138 Share on other sites
Raj_1990
Hey just remove the Ram and Graphic Card(PowerColor HD4830 512MB GDDR3) and then install it.This time do one thing..........follow these steps. 1.Take ur Motherboard Manual, it will show u all the drivers u have like video, lan, sound etc.... 2.Now remove the excess Ram.......just let it stay at 2GB 3.Now remove ur Graphic Card(if u have one) 4.Now again install Mac but now this time plz follow these steps.......... i) Just select basic drivers.Below is the list.Just select nothing more than the things mentioned below: a)Chipset Driver(select only one and the right one for ur MB.Just see the Manual or on the MotherBoard box it will be written which kind of board it is and u can find it on the Mac drivers list) b)Sound Driver(select only one.u can find the correct one on ur MB Manual) c)Video Driver(select only one.u can find this on ur MB Manual or on Device Manager in Windows) d)Lan Driver(Select the correct one or just leave the field alone.u can find the correct one in the Device Manager in xp/vista/7) e)Now there will be one thing called DHDT on the list u get............select the 1st one only this is very IMPORTANT. f)For alternate boot loaders just select one(not more thn 1) g)Now just select the fixes.Only select these...... PS/2 fix,cpu=cpu-1 fix,USB Mount fix(also written as IOUSB),PCI Fix and thats it thats all u need. Now install Mac and make sure that ur installation is error free.Even if it doesn't start up properly thn there must be a mistake in the drivers that u selected.Try with a different combination. And remember one important thing...........Mac doesn't start at the first install itself.U have to keep trying to get it done.I had to install it 20 times be4 it started working properly. Don't worry just have a little patience and try.Nothing is impossible................. @skylab Try a different driver combination.Follow my previous reply and things go fine.well there is another news for u people, ideneb 10.5.6 is highly unstable.Instead try iPC x86 10.5.6. Wellmedia
Hey guys, I recently installed iDeneb 10.4 onto my asus p6t deluxe. I kept my 4870 in the entire time (p6t has no onboard video so obviously that's not an option) and with 12 GB ram for the entirety of the process. First off, make sure you are booting with busratio=20 until all drivers are in. The combo upgrade kit worked without a hitch. You won't be able to successfully boot (read: reboot loop) until you properly HSDT patch. As for graphics, I had to append -x after installation. iDeneb is unstable. For drivers, there is a great how to on this forum for ideneb on asus p6t already on the forum. When I get home if you need I could link you. Billie1123
did you try iDen1.6.0 (MacOS 10.5.6)? Will it works? emm... I think that the 1.6.0 ver is MAC OS 10.5.8)... Anyway, right now I got to install Leopard 10.5.6 from ideneb, and it goes perfect, except for the wireless card (RT61), that only has PPC drivers [WTF?? -I said- after all my efforts, but this is life... ¬¬] P.D: By the way, I just had to choose the right chipset driver (ICHx fix). I have searched about your MB and I'd say that you should select the "Intel IHCx Sata Driver". So you could try to install over again with this configuration.
