maya77
Alpha 2 of the Voodoo 2 kernel is now available. This is for Intel only. This is an experimental kernel and therefore is not recommended for use in production. Further notifications of alpha versions can be found on the Voodoo2Testing page (the NewsArchive page will not be updated until AMD test phase). bluedragon1971
Cool. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this works. I'm currently using AnV's 10.5.6 kernel on my desktop (AMD X2). Konami®
I just want to point out that in my computer (see signature) the default kernel 9.7.0 from 10.5.7, works extremely well, I have not issues with sleep, restart and shutdown. Works like a charm! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170579-alpha-2-of-the-voodoo-2-kernel-is-now-available/#findComment-1176981 Share on other sites
Detosx
Kernel panic, here (Asus P5VD2-MX, Pentium D 820) with "commpage no match" message. Managed to boot with -legacy. Filed a report (comment has been merged with 274; Pentium D 64bit without SSSE3 problem). Not sure there is a resolution as of yet but to quote: "commpage no match" is related to Pentium D not having SSSE3 but having 64bit capability, thus the proper bcopy routine cannot be found during commpage stuffing.
