i have been fiddling with my laptop last night and most of this morning with this whole multi-booting issue. i used to have osx 10.5.6 and xp with the chameleon 2 rc 1 bootloader. that worked fine. last night, i decided to use gparted to delete my xp partition and resize my osx partition to make room for 2 new OSes. after some tries, i got ubuntu 9.04 working and booting via chameleon with osx still bootable. this morning i decided to add windows 7 into the mix. finally had all 3 OSes installed but chameleon wouldn't boot. all i got was a blinking underscore. i used gparted again to set the boot flag on the windows partitition. obviously, this let me get to windows. i did the same with the ubuntu partition and that worked. but when set to the osx partition with chameleon, nothing happens. just a blinking underscore. i have since deleted the other 2 partitions in hopes of something automagically fixing itself but i got nada. sooo.... what should i do? thanks.

I just made a dumb move by installing W7 on a different HDD when my OS X HDD is still active. Now, I have to boot through Boot 132 CD to access os x. I want to restore chameleon boot loader and get rid of W7 (didnt like it)

Tried reinstalling chameleon from OS X but no luck. It still boots to W7.

nevermind

follow this guide to set your os x partition active again

Then, reinstall chameleon to boot. Wallah. Remember to set the drive you want to install windows 7 active first before installing it. (from bios)
