ZarathustraKael Posted April 12, 2009 Share Posted April 12, 2009 My bro's box wanna Graphic update, after my research, it seems that HD 4870 (http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/produ...gpid=245&grp=3) is more powerful as it goes with the newest Mac Pro, but 9800 GTX (http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/Produc...spx?lang=en-us) seems more stable and the drivers for OS X is better, so can someone here tell me which one is more friendly or issueless with Leopard ? d00m42 Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 You do need an adequate CPU to not bottleneck the card, but I recently upgraded from an XFX 7950 GTX to an eVGA 9800 GTX+. The 9800 GTX+ is a monster, so far it's performed amazingly and took literally 2 seconds to get working in OS X. There's a thread about it in the GFX/Hardware section of the forum.
