Hi all,

I'm having some trouble trying to get my USB to work...I have a Asus P4P800 mobo, and something weird happens. My Logitech Key+Mouse are USB and they work OK...

My HP Printer is also recognized...but

My iPod, Fujifilm Z1 Camera .... DON'T WORK AT ALL....... (In Windows they do, so it's not the mobo port)

I've tryed a couple o things, shown on the forum, but nothing worked....

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.5 (the DVD installation) no 10.4.3 kext, but the AC97 soudcard ones...

Can anyone help....?????

Thanx!!!

Hi. Long time reader, first time poster, etc.

I'm also experiencing this problem and I know what you're talking about as far as the BIOS and USB goes but my particular computer (a Dell Duel Core Optiplex GX620) doesn't seem to work any USB device outside of the keyboard/mouse.

Even if I plug in a powered USB hub (that's the only USB directly plugged into the Dell) and run my keyboard and iPod from the hub, the keyboard/mouse work and the iPod or anything else does not. Very weird.

This has been a problem with 10.4.3 - 10.4.6 for me.

We could find it at www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/ , I think it is necessary to compile it.

But which kexts must we replace to get all usb devices working ?

I have this problem with my Creative Sound Blaster usb audio that worked perfectly on 10.4.1 (p4p800 E motherboard) but doesn't work anymore on 10.4.5 although it is detected System Information (but not in System preference "no outpout device found"). Usb Mouse and Keyboard works well.
