Apple also added a new "VoiceOver" feature that allows the iPod shuffle to speak your song titles, artists and playlist names. All of the controls are located on the earphone cord.

The problem I see with having the controls on the headphone cord is what if you want to use other headphones you won't be able to control it other then selecting random or continuous play that are on the unit it's self.

I wonder how long it will be before the RIAA starts to {censored} about copyright as it's speaking the song info. ;)

What the...seriously, the iPod shuffle did not need to be smaller. Although that voiceover shit is neat.

Proprietary headphones.
There will be a $20/£20 adapter probably soon.
Purposely gimped voiceover on Windows.
Come now, are they gonna give you the Leopard Alex.speechvoice with iTunes now? It's 700mb in size!
£60 for 4GB
It's an iPod *shrug*

What can I say, my 512mb iRiver still does everything I need it to!
