uketernity
Hi All, Not sure if this is the right place for this so please move if not, but I have a bit of an issue with my nvidia 8600 on my hackintosh. When waking the monitor (not the computer, just the screen when the screen turns off) the primary monitor is always fuzzy / covered in static like an un-tuned analogue tv, white/black fuzz. I know this isnt a monitor issue as I have a dual monitor setup and the second monitor doesnt do it if it swap the 2 over. So im thinking this is a software issue, its only just recently started happening and the only way to stop it is to switch the monitor off then back on, that usually fixes it, tho sometimes I have to do it 2/3 times!! Anyone elase has this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks Oli Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/156677-nvidia-8600-monitor-off-standby-fussystatic-screen/ Share on other sites

awulf
This has happened to me too, only once (a while ago) on a Gigabyte GTX 275, with a 650W PSU and a Gigabyte EX58 DS4 motherboard. A friend with a Gainward GTX 285 has it happening regularly, with a 650W PSU and a Gigabyte EX58 UD5 motherboard. Another friend with a Gigabyte 9800GT 1GB has had it happen once, with a 380W PSU and a Gigabyte EP35 UD3R. Usually goes away by itself or if you turn the monitor on/off. No idea what the cause would be. Sevio
I am also having this problem, I have tried everything (bios settings, different card, gfx strings, nvenabler) I cant get this problem to go away Can anyone please help? I thought it might be something to do with the nvcap... Both cards I tried have 3 outputs (dvi/vga/hdmi) a Gigabyte 9800 GT and a Gainward GTS 250 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/156677-nvidia-8600-monitor-off-standby-fussystatic-screen/#findComment-1335579 Share on other sites
