Hi Friends,

I have a lil problem here. My System Profiler (in About this Mac... More Info)

It Model Name as "Mac" And Model Identifier as BLANK. And when i take the GeekBench Test it shows my machine as "Hackintosh".

i Installed a Retail Copy of Leopard. Everything is working fine. Except the info which shows on System Profiler.

Can someone guide me? I want it to show as "Mac Pro" and also as Mac Pro in Geekbench instead AS "HACKINTOSH"

Thnx in Advance.... ;)

Sure with Pleasure...

Search the forum for ChameleonSM

ChameleonSM lets you set all the things that don't show up right in System Profiler, by overriding via com.apple.boot.plist. You don't have to set all the parameters that are available, you can omit the ones that show up right in the profiler already.

You need an original AppleSMBIOS.kext from the system you are running and you must delete any custom SMBIOS kext you're using now.

Drop the "boot" file at the root of your system drive (make a backup of the one that's there), edit the plist (EFIStudio is nice and quick) according to the information posted in the thread (be careful with weird spelling of 'manufacturer'!), delete custom SMBIOS, install original from Apple (easy with OSX86Tools) and reboot.

Try it and see, it's easy to revert if it doesn't do what you want.
