After reading this editorial about Google Calendar (from someone who switched from iCal), I'll have to say that I was impressed. The GUI is nice and simple... now if they'd just release a desktop version to sync it all!

Has anyone else checked it out? calendar.google.com (it works with your gmail account!)

Yeah, It is very nice and simple, an friend created this calendar about the world cup, very good where the results if they will be updating automatically in the run the of games.

If someone want it subscribe this calendar the way is http://www.guileite.com/copa2006.ics ( Also work with iCal ).

I was just curious as to whether anyone had tried Zimbra, I just recently noticed them when browsing the list of updated universal applications on MacUpdate.

The demo seemed to sport some rather astonishing features.

What I don't like is that it takes power away from the user with the "scans email for events." When I get an invite, I want a say in it, not have it thrown into the calendar. In addition, there isn't a desktop client, crucial to many users who need calendar access, and it *could* be critical to some users also.

Plus it isn't Safari compliant, forcing many Mac users to switch off to a different browser (with its own "features"). The opportunity cost of Google Calendar is just too great for me.
