A Nonny Moose Posted May 1, 2006 Share Posted May 1, 2006 OS X does what's called "prebinding" where it throws the parts of a program together should they get separated. It isn't defragmenting, but it's pretty close. With that being said, OS X doesn't need defragmented nearly as often as Windows does (2 per year on Mac).
