quietglow
HP DV4000 (see sig): Original Myzar 10.4.5 install, sleep (suspend to ram) works fine. Update with V3 Myzar, and sleep now blanks screen, and locks machine up (without sleeping). Anyone have a similar problem? Anything I might check before downgrading? quietglow
Which one is the actual acpi kext? I see at least IOACPIFamily.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext. Both? And thanks very much for the assistance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15209-1046-myzar-v3-sleep-problem/#findComment-97673 Share on other sites
quietglow
In the spirit of helping onesself, I fixed the problem. I copied both kexts over from my backup 10.4.5 and fixed permissions. Sleep works fine. Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15209-1046-myzar-v3-sleep-problem/#findComment-97765 Share on other sites
Guest Let The Metal Flow
same problem here, but I haven't 10.4.5 kext, someone can tell me where to find them or post them? quietglow
I was wrong--sleep still locks it up. I think I also finally realized that it take as long for my laptop to wake from sleep as it does to boot (booting in ~30 seconds or so) so I'm losing interest in trying to make this work again. moomoomoo
I'm using X60s and this MacOSX image. This image uses an old Darwin kernel for the processors before Core Duo processors. This is why sleep function doesn't get worked? BuXb
Whoever wants IOACPIFamily.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.4.5, drop me a line. Wouldn't it be Ok to upload a little package with these XTs and post a link (if need be even not clickable) in here ?? capran
I have 10.4.7 JaS and 1.07 Macvidia. I can sleep the machine, but waking from sleep doesn't reinitialize the video. I know the machine isn't locked since I can hear iChat relogging in, and I can SSH into the box too. Does anyone else have that problem?
