Sipheren Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 I installed WOW today, when I run the game I get a message saying that "world of warcraft was unable to start up 3d acceleration", now I have installed the macvidia drivers and they seem to be working. In the system Info window under graphics/Display it has Nvidia and some info about my card (just the mem size and it's ID, it says it location is PCI but its ment to be AGP). I tried to take a screen shot but the grab>screen doesnt work. rogabean Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 You wont be able to play wow with an NVidia card at this time. The card isn't being accelerated. The macvidia driver in it's current form is a framebuffer from what I understand. It gives you resolution changes and some 2D acceleration, but no 3D. I saw that it was on the compatible games list but the ATI drivers from what I have read are behind the NVidia ones.
