  1. Has anything further been done regarding this? I have installed the latest Chameleon but it still gives me a line of weird text. I have installed Chameleon onto a USB formatted with a MBR and I just boot from that. I have a HD7770, just upgraded from a HD5770, didn't realize their would be so many issues with it
  2. Issue with video

I have now re-installed Lion, all fresh, no restore from a TimeMachine and I am still having the issue. Everything just gets sluggish when more than one thing is going on it seems. Surley someone has some ideas of what I can do? It really only seems to have started after the latest software update that fixed 10.7.3.
  3. Issue with video

Video of the issue to try and demonstrate it more. Really just looking at what things could be doing this as the system has run fine since I installed 10.7. http://youtu.be/nf5p8e9ktAM
  4. Issue with video

UPDATE: I have been playing around and have found that any video I play (using VLC) will slow down and go choppy if I scroll a webpage or do something while its playing. It seems the computer is haveing problems with multitasking.... Any ideas??
  5. Issue with video

Hi Guys, I have started having an issue with my Lion install and need some help trying to work out what could be causing it. The issue is when playing a video on YouTube it will run fine until I scroll which then causes it to stop and go weird, I then need to close the window and reload it to get it to run. The mouse also feels jittery sometimes, especially when browsing the web, when the curser goes over a link it will pause for a second. I am not sure if this is all the one issue or multiple issues. I am running: Mainboard - GA-G31M-S2L Intel Core2 GeForce 9500GT Dual Monitors 10.7.3 with Chameleon v2.1svn r1878 installed using Chameleon Wizard. The only kext in Extra is FakeSMC and I have a custom DSTD. I also have HDAenabler for sound. Any help on this would be great. Thanks
  6. The Fermi "Freeze" Discussion (Possible solutions?)

Was a KP, Portal opens, you get the intro and before the menu shows it KP.
  7. The Fermi "Freeze" Discussion (Possible solutions?)

Can confirm that just this has solved my issue, games now run perfectly, no KP at all. Thanks a million! EDIT: Front Row and Minecraft work but Portal 2 crashed
  8. The Fermi "Freeze" Discussion (Possible solutions?)

Wont arch=i386 make my system run in 32-bit mode, I dont really want that.... I'll try with and without when I get home anyway. Cheers
  9. The Fermi "Freeze" Discussion (Possible solutions?)

    Is it just that part?
  10. The Fermi "Freeze" Discussion (Possible solutions?)

My system was running perfectly with 10.6.8 and my 9800GT. I upgraded to a GTX460 SE and after editing my DSDT file I was able to get past the "PCI Configuration Begin". Once loaded I installed the nVidia driver and rebooted, this gave me full support with no freezes, I have had the system on now for a couple of days. What I do get though is KP when ever I start a game, ie: open Minecraft, open Portal 2, open Front Row, etc. So, it works great as long as I don't run anything that needs 3D acceleration System: Core2 Gigabyte EP45-DS3 Gigabyte GTX460 SE Chameleon 2.0 RC5
  11. GTX460 SE on 10.6.8

No ideas?? I am starting to think it may be something to do with audio and the gfx card. Any ideas would be great. Cheers
  12. GTX460 SE on 10.6.8

Hey, I have upgraded my gfx card to a GTX460 SE and am having a bit of an issue. What I have done so far is: Updated to Chameleon 2.0 RC5 Edited my DSDT to fix "PCI Configure Begin" issue Installed "NVIDIA Retail Mac Driver 256.02.25f01" from Nvidia website This seemed to work perfectly, when I rebooted everything was fine, System Profiler shows the attached information. The problem started though when I went to play Portal 2, the system froze and I had to restart, the same thing happens when I open Minecraft or even Front Row. It seems the drivers are not working, can anyone help me out with some suggestions on what I can do or what I have done wrong? Thanks
  13. hd4830

I have this card and have spent the day trying to get it to work. (DVI-HDMI-VGA) The best I can get is to install the "netkas 10.6.7 and QE/CI patch for radeons" and use EVOenabler.kext. But this just gives me a screen full on artifacts, can not see anything at all. Is there something that I may have missed that you guys might have an idea on? The method in this thread simply gives a blank screen on both the DVI and VGA outs.
  14. This new driver is great, I used to get a system lock up after 15 mins of video now I have been watching video all night without an issue. My card is an Audigy 1 ES. Thanks
  15. My Audigy card works fine with Linux already??
