I'm wanting to build a cheap hackintosh in a smallish form factor, utilising the MicroATX motherboard.

These are the only boards available to me, which i believe are osx86 compatible.

GA-EG31M-S2

GA-945GCM-S2L

GA-G31m-S2l

GA-G31M-ES2L

I was wondering which board i should go with. At the moment im leaning more towards the GA-EG31M-S2

@MaaseyRacer: Why is this board so recommended? Is it 100% compatible?
Yes, despite the higher price, it is a great board. It is 100% compatible, and has a built in nVidia 9400M graphics card (just like the new Macbook) - decent built in graphics! Of course it has overclocking options and supports the 45nm Quad cores, but so do many other boards.

It also has Firewire, eSATA, HDMI, Optical S/PDIF Out (not sure if that works) and support for 16gb of RAM! So a wonderful motherboard for OS X.

This board can only support 2 gb of ram. Its unstable past that.

Yah the audio works on the es2l.

"ALC662 The Onboard soundcard for this motherboard is not

supported, and there are no drivers (yet), however the

motherboard does support Azalia HD sound. There is a driver

for that which you should get and install once you have OSX

actually running."
