Veeoh
Hello, Odd problem here in that I am unable to restart my machine. Shutdown works fine but if I select restart it goes to a blue screen and hangs on the whirly circle thing (for want of a better description) Can anyone help here? No biggie as I can use the reset button or shutdown and then reboot but would be nice to be able to reboot occasionally! Thanks all, =V= EDIT - forgot to say that this happened prior to upgrade to 10.4.6 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14675-unable-to-restart-osx86/ Share on other sites

davidovi
don't remember were, but I read that this is an AMD related issue. As of yet, no known fix I have a Pentium 4 630 and a Gigabite Mobo and I have exactly the same problem, so its not AMD related. G-Force
I have the same, it's a bit annoying. Though it works fine on my laptop. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14675-unable-to-restart-osx86/#findComment-106540 Share on other sites
fOZf8
It's more motherboard specific, something with the ACPI recognition and communication...has nothing to with AMD or Intel. My Intel Hacintosh will not restart either, but my AMD Hacintosh restarts perfect Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14675-unable-to-restart-osx86/#findComment-106581 Share on other sites
