GhaleonX
At work I use a Power Mac, which has a 7300 GT inside. If I'm not mistaken, it was AGP. Wouldn't this mean the card is natively supported? Not working Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146233-how-tonvidia-7300-gt-agp/#findComment-1166248 Share on other sites
tanbk168
for 7600GT AGP, use ideneb v1.4. Select only NVidia: NVinject 0.2.1 for the correct amount of ram. I select NVinject 0.2.1 256mb as I have a A7600GT 256MB AGP. No need to add or amend anything. If the installation goes through successfully, you should see a translucent toolbar on the top of the screen. If you select a wall paper, you can see the background through the toolbar... enjoy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146233-how-tonvidia-7300-gt-agp/#findComment-1166297 Share on other sites

lacasuela
hello i searching in the hole forum the path to some framebuffer file or plist... dont remember, to set <minimum VRAN> for Quartz Extreme, i can remember where did i saw it but i know its some where here.. the fact its that i have already full resolution + Quartz Enable + Rotation Enable and i think the reason why quartz extreme still not supported is because minimun vran are to high for my Nvidia 76600 GT 256Mb AgP card thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146233-how-tonvidia-7300-gt-agp/#findComment-1386671 Share on other sites

Gringo Vermelho
i think the reason why quartz extreme still not supported is because minimun vran are to high for my Nvidia 76600 GT 256Mb AgP card Chameleon GraphicsEnabler works fine with 7600GT AGP 256MB on Leopard 10.5.8 and the latest nvidia drivers for Leopard. Full QE/CI. Only minor detail is that GraphicsEnabler doesn't know the device ID of the card, so it is listed as Unknown Nvidia in System Profiler, but that's easy to fix by editing the Chameleon source code or injecting just the model name via DSDT gfx0 device. Anyway it's just cosmetic, it makes no difference to how the card works. I never had any luck with AGPGart or other AGP kexts but the card works fine, just don't try to play games at resolutions above 640x480 - the card runs at 33MHz PCI Bus speed because there is no AGP support, so there is not enough bandwidth to transfer data fast enough at higher resolutions. Tomb Raider Anniversary ran smooth as silk on it at 640x480. Remove your NVKush/NVInject/NVDarwin or whatever, install Chameleon 2.0 RC5 and set GraphicsEnabler=y in /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist. Use the display output that's closest to the motherboard when looking at the back of your PC case. Use a VGA-DVI adapter if you have to. If you for some reason can't use that output, you'll need a custom NVCAP value...that I don't remember, that Hackintosh has been dismantled now and the parts are for sale. You can search posts from 2008-2009 by user Beerkex'd to find it. This can be injected via com.apple.Boot.plist as well using NVCAP key and string.
