When i boot in 64 bit its no qe ci support, but we are lucky cause 64 bit kexts for intel x3100 is coming in 10.6.2 I dont think my sleep is working. Did you do something to get it working, like in your dsdt file? coconup
well mine does with my usual dsdt.. if you're using it the problem it's probably not related to usb, what does your console say when the laptop wakes? ps: great news about 10.6.2 supporting 64 bit for x3100 'cos I'm still having problems with wifi and lan in 32 bit mode.. it definitely works randomly Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146032-s20s20ii-laptops-hasee-advent-haier/page/4/#findComment-1295725 Share on other sites

Maybe if i use a fixed dsdt file(like voodooUSBEHCI.kext but fixed in the dsdt file)? I have one for my hp mini, but i found that one in a thread somewhere, cause i dont now how to do it on my own? The console dident say anything about waking up because it never goes to sleep. The screen gets black and the fan is spinning and then i have to turn it off by pressing the powerbutton. Thanks. Ok! In what version of mac osx are you trying to get sleep working? In 10.6.2 and 32 bit mode iam using sleepenabler.kext for snow and clamshelldisplay.kext, also you have to delete the sleepimagefile in private/var/vm Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146032-s20s20ii-laptops-hasee-advent-haier/page/4/#findComment-1335492 Share on other sites
^GoJo^
In System/var/vm i have swapfile, that's all. That's what you meant? I use iAtkos v7 upgraded to 10.5.8 now. I don't know how to turn 32/64bit mode, i have no idea in which i'm in! Where do you get those kext anyway? PS: To be 100% clear : When i try to make it sleep, it do like it's gonna sleep but wake up immediatly and also makes the PC crazy (sound buzz and others nice things..). On my desktop, 10.5.8 too, the sleep problem is different : it turn off the hard disks but not the rest, and i can't wake it up normally, i have to shutdown but power button and restart it. Would those kext works for both? Thanks! PS²: If you find something to make that {censored} fan shut up, please tell me... Or a way to remove it and make it fanless without burning it... No i meant show invisible files and in the root of your HD there is the private folder, but it want help in 10.5.8 The only way i could get sleep in 10.5.8 was to swap the kernel with the one from 10.5.7 And you also need this http://www.superhai.com/files/deprecated/V...SBEHCI.kext.zip you have to figure out for your self how to edit the files. Cause i dont remember how to? The fan is noisy as hell i know, but it has to be there. Daniel Gustavsson
MisterDaniel Gustavsson? Ok! What do you mean its not there? You maybe need to delete dsmos.kext and install fakesmc.kext version 2.5. If you boot snow with -v or in verbose mode from the chameleon bootloader version 2 rc3. then you will see whats causing your kernel panic. You also need NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146032-s20s20ii-laptops-hasee-advent-haier/page/4/#findComment-1343070 Share on other sites
^GoJo^
Ok, so you mean i have to make it crash again to know how i will succeed next time? :/ Where is that NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and where do i put it? Daniel Gustavsson
Sorry but the audio driver i have are for Leopard only, if i install them with Snow, it creates kernel panic!! No they do not! You just have to use hdaenabler.kext for snow and it will work. ^GoJo^
OK HERE ARE THE NEWS! I could install the update and this time; no KP!! On all PC i tried to install OSX, i had to do few times before it works... But i think it was problem of bootloader, i tried to launch it with Chameleon 2RC3 installed on the other Leopard, now i start with MyHack. I only miss the sound now, i have the hdaenabler.kext as i said but it created KP last time, i'm scared! But i'm gonna try it again :/ ANOTHER i forgot to say is that i don't have any trackpad in prefpane and it does work but no clic, left or right, no scrolling neither while on Leopard i had all directly AND THE {censored} FAN! Did anyone changed it, or made something to block it or i don't know... I want to remove this {censored}, really! It runs all the time and noisy as hell, it's not a BIOS matter. EDIT: I have sound in 10.6.2 without any install! Should i still install the kext? Will i get better sound or it's useless?
