  1. How to install SL on AMD PC?

    Myhack and use chocolate_kernel
  2. Ati RAdeon HD 3450

  3. soft RAID

    try this guide: http://aquamac.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa...&thread=908
  4. AppleHDA for ALC1200 and DetectDelegate problem

Look at "The King's" guide: - 71dXY X=Color Y=Misc Misc is a bit field used to indicate other information about the jack. Currently, only bit 0 is defined. If bit 0 is set, it indicates that the jack has no presence detect capability, so even if a Pin Complex indicates that the codec hardware supports the presence detect functionality on the jack, the external circuitry is not capable of supporting the functionality. Reserved 3 Reserved 2 Reserved 1 Jack Detect Override 0 *Use 0 for Jack Detect - External Device(e.g. Headphones Mic etc) Use 1 for Jack Detect Disabled - Internal Device(e.g. Internal speakers, Internal mic) Just change your pinconfig verbs accordingly. It's good to know "DetectDelegate" does something because isn't documented anywhere.
  5. Audio kext causing KP

Remove AppleHDA.kext before you install VoodooHDA, and you don't need Hdaenabler with Voodoohda.

  11. Can't get ALC889 (not "a") to work with Snow Leopard

Download voodoo preferences panel and install it, also d/l getdump utility and run it from terminal, from that information you can edit your info.plist and get your devices in order.
  12. N00B looking for audio help.

In order to properly install kexts you need to use a utility that moves the file to the right location and it repairs its permissions. Look for KextUtilty, osx86KextB and others. First right click in the file you've moved and trash it.
  13. N00B looking for audio help.

    try voodooHDA http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355
  14. Can't get ALC889 (not "a") to work with Snow Leopard

Did you try VoodooHda? http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355 but important remove AppleHDA.kext before installing or it will panic. if it doesn't work attach here a linux codec dump or a getdump from the voodoo page.
  15. sorry for the delay Is it anyway you can attach your codec dump from a linux livecd like Ubuntu. run from terminal cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 > ~/Desktop/codec0_dump.txt cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#1 > ~/Desktop/codec1_dump.txt try also codec#2 copy them to a usb device It'd better if you can get the verbs from Vista regedit pinconfigs they are more accurate in laptops, follow this procedure: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137188 copy your applehda.kext from S/L/E attach all files in a folder and post it here You have ALC888 Realtek HDA, how many jacks do you have and internal mics?
