I installed iDeneb v.1.3, its good, but i can't boot into it on normal mode. Only safe mode (-x) works.

On normal boot it shows blue screen, sometimes the cursor, and sometimes when i press keyboard keys, i can hear some sounds.

My hardware:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz

VGA: ATi Radeon X1950 Pro (By MSI)

Motherboard: Gigabyte 945P-DS3

LAN: Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC

RAM: 4 GB DDR2

In the safe mode, my VGA won't work in full mode. Installed 10.5.3 Bronya's driver, still the same.

And the sound drivers won't load too.

 No Built-in Audio.

Tryed something with OSX86Tools, without any luck. Driver installer shows nothing, but it connects, and says it downloaded something, and found all devices.

LSPCI shows :

lspci: Cannot find any working access method. (1)

From the DVD i installed ALC888 sound, IHCx chipset, x1950gt pro video drivers. Kernel is stock Vanilla 9.50.

Ethernet works on the safe mode too.

What could be the problem with the blue screen?

Thanks in advance ;)

Updated to 10.5.6 with success. Now video works fully, and i have audio, but only through back-ports (the one's on back of my PC), the front one's won't work.

Almost all of the audio drivers are like that. Some of the ALC drivers have 5.1, but alot more are 2.1 only. Microphone support is lacking at best.

I did a linux codec dump, patched them to mac os, and now the sound works perfectly! ;) Headphones, and microphone on the front works flawless :)) But there's some problems with my Logitech Quickcam messenger, and my Card Reader. I hope to fix them too :))

Why in the hell my sound quality is that bad? It sucks compared to Windows.

Profiler says 'No Built-in Audio.' , but audio works... but the quality is really {censored}. Have to use volume logic to listen to my music on itunes.

How can i fix this problem?

It's normal to see 'No Built-In Audio' in system profiler. It doesn't mean anything. It certainly won't make a difference in sound quality if your hardware details appear there or not.

Maybe there are better sounding drivers for your card. Search the forums with your audio chipset model name and number as search term and see what others have done.

It's possible to get some on-board audio hardware to appear as built-in by DSDT patching or hacking on extensions, search the forums for more information. But it won't do anything for sound quality.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hello.

After some unsuccessful attempts to install iAtkos v5, i installed iDeneb. I can boot into safe mode with no problems, but there is no sound. In normal mode, the apple loading appears, then a blue screen that after 2-3 seconds turns to black. Now the interesting part: the mouse pointer appears in the top left corner. If i move the mouse, that pointer is still there, but an other one appears and moves correctly. Basically i can see only two pointers, nothing else.

Any help?

EDIT: I also tried to update to 10.5.6(from 10.5.5) and it gets stuck at the "writing files" phase between 50 to 60%, and after that it won't boot even into safe mode.
