Okay,

I have 2 HDD's x 320GB each of them, I've installed Leopard on one of 'em, and Windows (4 Windows partitions on the other one) . So in finder I see them all, and all the files are on my Windows partitions, but it seems that I can't paste files in the Windows partitions from the desktop, for example I downloaded a wallpaper and I want to move it to the Wallpapers folder in one of my Windows partitions, but it says "The item **** cannot be moved, because "Pictures" cannot be modified" :)

How can I fix this ?

Thank you,

Happy New Year !

Your windows partitions are formatted NTFS from the sounds of it OS X only reads it for read/write you need FAT or something called ntfs-3g you will want to search on installing this last one in OS X if you do not want to reformat one of those partitions to FAT.

I found it best to make a separate partition and format it fat32.

I then relocate My user folder (Windows) to the new partition.

In windows you cant tell the differnece and in OS X you simple have a

hardrive on you desktop that cantains all you documents for both OS

You can also reinstall either OS without hurting you files.

The best way to only make a minor chage is to install NTFS-3G on the Mac OS X system.

It also requires MacFUSE. Google for both and you'll get what you need.

Another option is to use Paragon's NTFS for Mac.

Third option: Use an intermediate storage medium (A FAT32 Formatted usb stick, an FTP server, email)

Fourth option: Make windows read mac. Sounds new you most people but you can use MacDrive of HFSExplorer for those things!
