Paintball24
Okay, I installed OSx86 the tiger.tar.gz way one my D drive. I booted to OSX, works perfectly, but when I switch back to Windows, Windows can't find the D drive. Any ideas? Ouch
Because the D drive will now be formatted as an HFS volume which windows can't read? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14339-osx86-screwed-up-my-hard-drive/#findComment-91693 Share on other sites

rohde
Is there any way to format it again? Yes you can use programs such as Acronis Disk Suite or Partition Magic to reclain your HDs/partitions. But then you will loose the OS X install of course. tokyovigilante
Go into the Windows Control Panel and click on Administrative Tools. Load the Computer Management Module then click on disk management. You will be able to see and format the partition back to D. Note it is not possible for Windows to see a HFS+ formatted drive (ie Mac OS) by default, so you should have been expecting this to happen. If you want to use HFS+ disks with Windows, there is a utility called MacDrive which can do this.
