Wrenbird
Well I was extremely pleasantly surprised this morning; I got an Aluminum MacBook for Christmas! It's a 2.4GHz model with 4GB of RAM and it came with iWork 08 pre-installed. And I must say, it's nothing short of amazing! The first thing I noticed: Incredible battery life! I've been running on battery power for about 6 hours so far, and I still have 10% battery remaining. It's also really cool - literally. About 5-10 degrees above room temperature. Hardly noticeable. It does get a little warmer when charging, but that's expected. It scored 220 in XBench without disk tests, and generally runs extremely smoothly. If you can afford it and were considering a MacBook, don't even think twice! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142949-new-macbook/ Share on other sites
plugwash
don't even think twice! Unless you depend on firewire, if you do then you would need to go for either the older black or white macbook or a macbook pro. doggyworld
Are u guys sure you get 6 hours of actual usage on the battery? I think I get like 3-4 hours while web surfing on my 2.0 ghz Macbook Alu. Did they give the 2.4 Ghz models a bigger battery?
