Did you install the JMicron controller kext in the customize installation?

Your mobo uses that chipset.

Google is your friend. Search Google for "using 16384 buffer headers and 4096"

This is a common issue that is easily fixable.

HEy,

Thanks for the answer.

Is there any way that you could tell me what exactly do I need from the custom installation according to my spec?

Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700

Motherboard: Abit IP35 Pro

Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

Memory: 4GB (4x1GB OCZ XTC Platinum)

You want to make sure that you are always booting with the -v flag until your 100% satisfied with you setup. This puts you in verbose mode instead of the graphic with the spinning wheel. Then if your having issues you can see where the system is hanging and do some research as to how to fix the problem.

I can't give you any advice on options to choose except for Do not choose anything that you are not 100% sure will work. Especially graphics drivers. If you don't choose any graphics drivers you will get default graphics which is fine because you can fix this later but if you choose the wrong one or multiple one you are going to have problems.

I would suggest keeping a log of which options you choose during installation and what the results were. Once you get into OSX you can modify com.apple.boot.plist and add the -v flag so that you do not need to do this every time.

What worked for me after installing iDeneb 10.5.5 was to boot into -s mode and delete all ATI*, NVDA*, Geforce*, and AppleIntelGMA* kexts and then it booted into the intro and worked great. I wasnt getting any kernel panics but it would freeze during boot. i always think you should mess with your video stuff last after everything else is set up and u know you can install osx86. I installed on an IDE drive. DVD drive is master, IDE is slave.

-s at boot prompt

/sbin/mount -uw /

cd /System/Library/Extensions

ls

rm -rf ATI*

rm -rf NVDA*

rm -rf AppleIntelGMA*

exit

  • 1 month later...

I was looking for the solution since last month, but im unable to find out.

Please help me out, and please be detailed. May be its very easy for you, but i dont have any experience on mac (hardware)

Like this:

"The easiest way is for you to select all third party chipset fixes."

But if you could tell me exactly what and how should I do that, ill be so happy, because I don’t have a clue.

Thank you very much!

HI, i have the same problem. I think it´s the Cpu. With my old p4 3,4 prescott the system runs very well after i installed my new qx6700 cpu with B stepping my hackintosh crashes and crashes again. I wasn´t able to install ideneb &co. again, yet.

I hope for an solution in time!! ;);):(

Hi guys.. I tried instally iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 but I get the message "/com.apple.boot.plist" and no matter what I pressed (-v, F8), that particular message continues to exist..

What must I do to proceed??

try to press the Pause/Break (mostly next to PRTSCR) button during the initial BIOS loading, wait a few seconds, and hit Enter.. It sounds weird, but try it!!

It worked for me :)
