cartman_go
is there any way to part the dvd image into smaller amounts to make it possible to use cd rs instead of dvds for an install? apolloae
I believe there is, however I don't know where a good guide for that would be. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13908-dvd-or-cd-install/#findComment-88409 Share on other sites
ZeDz
You could use an archiving software, and make a split archive to fit on cds. I know in windows, WinRAR is excellent for that kind of stuff, but im not too familiar with mac archiving software... check to see if stuffit has some split archiving tool. Only problem is, u'd hav to somehow extract during boot and that would be tricky... Sabr
does any one else have any info? I'm not so sure you'd be able to do this. Mainly because the installer comes on a DVD, as a whole package. So you would have to edit files, possibly make/code new ones, for the installer to understand it needs another disk to carry on the install. If you're stuck for DVD disks, you can install it under VMWare, which requires no burning of discs in the first place, just the ISO file: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=11314 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13908-dvd-or-cd-install/#findComment-88453 Share on other sites

I have multible cdrom drives on my computer, so that wouldnt be a problem. I just wouldnt know how to modify the files.
