grentz
Well, you might have seen my thread about my keyboard and mouse issue where no matter what i would do i couldn't get any mouse or keyboard (usb or ps2) to work with my hackintosh. That was with the 10.4.4 DVD and/or 10.4.5 upgrade. So, I got myself a copy of 10.4.3 and I must say its AMAZING. I loaded it up on my PC and first off, the installer recognized my usb keyboard and mouse (before with the other version it didn't), and then i went through the whole install (took a lot longer for some reason), but once i got into Tiger, I HAD SOUND TOO!!! So, i found that once in tiger, my USB keyboard and mouse worked, my PS2 versions work as well, Sound works, ethernet works, cdrom/burner works, pretty much everything works that i have tried! The only thing i am having an issue with is that the sound is coming out mono??? it only comes out the left speaker for some reason (and i know its not a hardware issue as it works fine in windows). But at least i can use it at all! Here is the Xbench result on my pc as well: http://db.xbench.com/merge.xhtml?doc2=164933 I was hoping it would be higher considering its a 3.4GHZ Intel HT (it is detected as a 3.38GHZ D in OSX), plus i have 2gb of memory, but it is a decent score still and it runs pretty well Now onto the laptop, I also have a Centrino notebook that I could get the installer to run on before, but after reboot it would not start, now with the 10.4.3 it works great and I have it dual booting with Windows XP via Acronis Boot Selector. The only issue i have on the laptop is that the wifi is not detected (its an intel 2700 minipci) and the sound does not work. But besides that it is actually running. I have no idea what was up with the 10.4.4 and 10.4.5 that i had, but to any one having lots of problems, i say try 10.4.3 :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13843-got-it-working-on-my-pc-and-laptop/ Share on other sites

Suser
Don't forget that 10.4.3 is beta/development build, not the full release. But it works indeed better on some machines. The reason why you have sound from only one speaker is because you have a VIA AC97 card based on a Realtek chipset. Those are known to have this issue with Mac OS X. No solution. treleung
Grentz- you mind helping me find a legit copy of 10.4.3? I too am getting zero luck with 10.4.5 with almost all hardware, and it's hard finding a good pre-patched 10.4.3.
