What to loose functionality in P5k & what to gain after the crossflash? (aside from AHCI). And... Is it Worth to do it? Thanks! scrax Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 You loose jmicron IDE support for what i know, and you can do it also on a P5KC but you loose the ddr3 slot plus jmicron IDE support. csfalcao Posted January 2, 2011 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Hi,Happy New Year!!!! I´ve been reading a lot about crossflashing My P5K-SE with the P5KR bios to get AHCI. I did boot USB flash drive, copy both afudos and afu236u with the p5kr0605 and 0703 roms. I tested every combination of command and roms: afu236u /n /ip5kr0703.rom (/x; /nr; /pbnc; etc) but I´m stuck with this message: "rom file romid is not compatible with existing romid" I also used the /o to save a copy of my current bios, and tested to use afudos with it , it said something like: bit block not right. Could you help please, I want so bad to install Snow leo....
