Hi, i post Cider version of Left4Dead game.

It's a pre-version of Left4Dead port.

Works well, but game is very slow.

It's only for developpers to help us.

We need developpers to upgrade this version to be a perfect version.

Thanks

PS : if you want Half Life2, HL2 Episode 1, HL2 Episode 2, Counter Strike Source, Portal for mac, it's possible, they works perfectly ;)

Just say it :(

With Cider Port, all works properly, but the game is just slow (very very slow), i think we need to wait the last Cider.

I use the 1835 version with some DLL files (for the mouse, for graphics,...).

-- I use an iMac Alu 20" 2,4 Ghz.

Bye,

I just tried this game, but it's unplayable due to mouse and keyboard lag. Is there any fix for that?

Other than that, the game runs smoothly at 2560x1600 with everything on highest except "paged pool memory available", which must be low or I get green artifacts on the menu.

Also, in campaign > quick match I have to select Local Server instead of Dedicated, or the game crashes. The game also crashes if I Leave the lobby.

Singleplayer works without problems.

I really hope someone has a solution for the input lag, as It's the only thing keeping me from playing the game.

My system specs if it's any help:

iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5

Abit IP-35 Pro

Xeon 3110 3ghz

4gb ddr2

Geforce 9600GT 512mb

Link 404'd. I'm fairly handy with a computer but I'm not an expert programmer or anything. I tried the wrapper in the parent post, but couldn't get it to work, but I didn't tinker with it much.

I'd kill to have this game on OS X. (Kill Zombies that is, ZING) If I can help in anyway or if there is more info out there I'd love to know. Thx

Are you using the steam version or CD of L4D, and have you tried it on a unibody Mac?

I tried loco's wrapper with the CD version on a unibody Mac and no joy.

downloading right now, but how is the game 20MB? The real L4D is like 3.9GB's or something...

It's only the wrapper for 20 Mb !!

Now, we have a great version of Left4dead which works perfectly.

Just bought Left 4 Dead. great game and as all of you, would love to play it on OS X.

I have put it into a cider app myself so far, version 2070 i think, and it launches and i see the intro movie and stuff but then it quits and says I need steam running. What can I do? How are you getting around this?

So I don't fully understand how this cider wrapper thing works, is it going to make crossover Left 4 Dead recognize my drivers, and is there anyway to get this Mac version of Left 4 Dead to do multiplayer with Steam Left 4 Dead so I can play my friends?
