raymondu999
Hey all. Just wondering. Is there actually SQL and Access on a Mac? I've heard many saying otherwise. I know there's an ODBC driver for it somewhere out there. But is there a way we can actually administrate the databases? MacNutty
I think mySQL works on MAC but MS-SQL no. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137613-sql-on-a-mac/#findComment-974029 Share on other sites
Orea
I'm pretty sure that there isn't a way to administrate databases easily, but ODBC driver is pretty good. VmWare/Parallels is probably a easy workaround. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137613-sql-on-a-mac/#findComment-974297 Share on other sites
Neilis
As said MySQL is available on Mac, but I've come to be less and less fond of that DBMS over time. PostgreSQL is also available and free, and is generally a more more featureful and complete system. Oracle may also be available but it won't be cheap. Suhail
There is also SQLite on the Mac and I must say that IT IS AWESOME. Much better than MySQL for development imo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137613-sql-on-a-mac/#findComment-979622 Share on other sites
