Mouse help, please asap

So I have a new 24" iMac with leopard, and recently my mouse has just been jumping all across the screen when i go to click on something or whatever.

I took the mouse back (corded mighty mouse) and same problem persisted, so what can i do?

The only time I have had troubles such as you describe:

 

1) I was using my mouse on a surface that the laser had trouble reading, or

2) I had managed to get a hair, be it human, or pet, on my mousing surface, that the laser was reading, rather than the table surface.

i did, theyre both clean...it started right when i got the thing

Have you tried a different surface, like white paper?

Pop to your local store and buy a cheap USB mouse. That fixes all problems.
