This is a very serious issue, I have no doubt that global authorities fully intend to follow China's lead in censoring and controlling the Internet.

 

Lawrence Lessig, a respected Law Professor from Stanford University has recently stated that the US government is planning an event of 9/11-like significance to justify Internet censorship.

 

This staged "i-9/11" will of course come with a "i-Patriot Act" (and similar repressive legislation in at least Europe).
