This really differs from pc to pc or should I say bios to bios. In some its easier to do it than others.

There might be an order or a boot device part in your bios. Try to find something like that and see if you can either move up and down drives (as I had to do) or change numbers next to them (1,2,..) to order them.

I once messed up my order and selected a “restore configuration” in my bios and it corrected the DVD drive to be first boot device. Maybe try that.

F8 normally allows you to boot from a cd. That might be enough. ;)

Not sure why you needed to disable a CD drive. Because won't you want to enable it again later to use it. If this is a one off then use F8. As I used to do when I had problems with my boot order.

Otherwise change the order completely in bios.

Basically have a look around in your bios for something which seems to make sense.

Best of luck :D

Need to disable one if you have two CD drives, because if you go to the boot menu and choose to boot off of a CD (It groups both CD drives under one boot option) it will only try to boot off of the first drive. By disabling one drive, you can still go into your boot menu and choose to boot off a CD, except now, it boots off of the second drive.

:D
