raziiq
ya it is recognized as an Ethernet and i have got a 3rd party software for it that runs in the Dock but can be turned off while my Wifi still running. So it means its not possible to have the wifi icon as my Menulet, right?? JBraddock
If you have a wifi dongle with Ralink 2870 chipset you can use the this app. Read the instruction first. Use only the app not the driver included in the package. Nameci
If the wifi device is not mac osx airport compatible it will not show the wireless icon on the menu bar unless you have a 3rd party app running to show it. Highly recommended to replace your wifi card with mac compatible cards.
