I am having the same problem in 10.4.3 and 10.4.5

My system...

Dell Dimension 4400

2Ghz Pentium 4 SSE2

Intel 845GL Motherboard

On-Board Audio - Intel 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller

ATI Radeon 9600XT

3com 3c-905 NIC

This and the visual glitches are the only things keeping me from running 10.4.5 all the time. :-\ For some reason the visual glitches seem to be much worse on 10.4.5 as opposed to 10.4.3, but 10.4.3 locks up any time I try to access my Windows2003 file server and 10.4.5 doesn't.

Sounds like your sample rate is too high ... Should be 44.1Khz :censored2:

You can resolve this i beleive in the audio/midi setup, type "audiomidi" into search on your HD and open up the audio tab within audiomidi setup. You will see your audio device there, mines a firewire audio recording interface so its different but the ac97 should have sample rate adjustments too.

You need it to be on 44100.0 Hz (the same on in and out) ! Hope this works for you guys. :guitar:

I got same issue. The sound plays too fast under iTunes.

I got an intel built-in audio ICH2 82801BA controller.

vendor id is 8086

device id is 2445

Changing frequency from 48 KHz to 44 KHz does not help.

Maybe it is something related to SSE3 emulation cause I got an SSE2 only CPU.

Hope someone will find a fix soon.

Try following this easy guide to try and get your Creative Labs Sound Card working: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Audio

SABR,

Are you saying that if I follow the audio wiki, I can use my Sound Balster Live! Value in OS X? Can you confirm this is the case? Thanks.
