overflow1972
Good morning, let's suppose that I install any of the available releases (leo4all, iatkos, ideneb.....etc). Is it sufficient to install the Vanilla Kernel to enable the software update ? I mean.........is the installation of Vanilla kernel related to the software updates ? Thanks
Hagar
repeat question #47302 No. Think about it. using the vanilla kernel only means that you can also use the next vanilla kernel that the update might install. Any other system components the update might install are still capable of rendering your install unbootable. Using disablers can help update-proof, as can isolating your patches/drivers in /Extra as per the boot-132 method.
Aydinz
is there any major benefits going from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 anyway?

3Dman
anyone? IMO the major update was 10.5.2 because it has a lot of fixes, you can go to Apple website and see what's fixed in 10.5.4 and 10.5.3 .
