i am having a similar issue with my 1000HA, from what i have read writing "cpus=1 -v -f" will fix the problem however it has not worked for me as of yet ;)

any additional input would be greatly appreciated :D

Hi,

I just (I mean 5 minutes ago) got an EeePC 1000HA up and going with iDeneb v1.3. I ran my install with the 1000HA hard disk in a USB enclosure attached to my MacBook Pro. I selected what I thought were the right drivers and after my third attempt with freezes during the install (at the running repairs part), and after the install (at the Apple logo), finally got it installed with the right drivers and stuck in a boot loop.

The drivers I used were:

ACL662 for sound, ICHx fixed for chipset, 9.4.0 StageXNU for the kernel, AttansicL1 for the ethernet (which I could have sworn was correct but it isn't up yet - I probably just have to edit some plists or something like that), Atheros for the wireless (same as the ethernet), ACPI fix, CPUs=1 fix, AppleSMBios 667, Firewire remove, Power Management, and it looks like I SHOULD have installed the PowerOff fix too but I didn't. Oh and the video was Intel GMA950 but I must admit that I'm disappointed in the 800x600 resolution.

I used the boot loader option "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" to get out of the boot loop. Created a normal user account after logging in as the administrator and now have a little brick with no network connection. I believe I'll be up late working on it. It's looking like there's only hope for my wireless card but I'm not entirely sure that's the case yet.

Hope this is at least inspirational. Best of luck.

So an update on my 1000HA:

I got the thing up and going. I got both the Attansic ethernet card (pci1969,1026) and the Atheros wireless card (pci168c,1c)

to show up in the Network Interfaces but neither one of them is working. I got the audio card to show up - supposed to be

Realtek ALC662 (pci8086, 27d0 I think?) - but it isn't working either. That was with the Azalia driver. And of course there is no

camera driver, at least that I can find.

Oh and by the way, not that I can tell the difference in the way the thing works but, since my first post on this topic I went

from the latest office ASUS bios 12something to the modded 1103. Both seem to work the same.

On the up side I finally got the GMA950 driver working right and ended up with a 1024x600x32 resolution. Looks good on the

little thing.

I ordered a Dell 1390 wireless card so I guess I'll see how well it works shortly.

All the best,

B
