orbulat
Hi All, I just installed "Mac OSX x86 10.4.3 build 8f1111 patched with Wesley's patch", and is able to start MacOSX. during installation, it always got freeze : "you need to restart your computer..blah blah", I solved this by disabling "HT", and it worked (i was lucky :-) ) When i started to "play" MacOSx, it freezes occassionally, sometimes when i use safari, or simply freezes randomly. i guess it is due to some sort of SSE2 / SSE3 problem, so how can i solve this problem? do i need to reinstall it again? thanks a lot! My Config is P4 2.8G (HT) Intel P865PERL 1G RAM LG DVDRW installed in Segete120G in an external usb harddisk box SB Live! Value (i will have to switch to onboard sound later :-p) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11845-system-gets-freeze-occassionally/ Share on other sites
keeshond
10.4.3. in a developer edition with bugs. You could download the patched 10.4.5. DVD and try it again. I had the same with 10.4.3. on my P4. I installed 10.4.5. and the problem was solved. Good luck. rohde
I had problems with the Wesley version as well. It constantly froze on my and I had to reboot instantly. I think it's some sse2 issue. I installed the JaS version of 10.4.3 instead and it works flawlessly. blackentangled
yea, the Jas version works fine for most, maybe you could check whether what patches (sse2 or sse3, etc..) you should apply that is suitable for your system. U.C.
If u patched ur DVD image using the wesley patch, then just download the JaS Patch....Its on the ma**uss website. Otherwise if u goth the prepatched wesley image, see if u can undo the wesley patch from the dled version and patch it with the JaS patch. You can undo the JaS version, dunno bout wesley, never used it.
