Hi all,

I have a Radeon Mobility 7500 in my laptop, as do many other people, and it doesn't support QE/CI. However, I noticed recently that the Titanium Powerbook G4 with DVI (667 or 800 mhz) uses the 32mb Radeon Mobility 7500 and does support QE (according to lowendmac: http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/g4-800.html). I believe my 7500 only has 16mb of ram - does this explain the difference? Does anyone have a 32mb one that DOES support QE? Any thoughts?

The chip itself supports QE (but not CI). However, you would need working drivers to get that support, and I think the x86 files are broken. If you would like to try it anyway, just add your pci device id into ATIRadeon.kext/contents/info.plist

short answer: it just doesn't.

I have the ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility with 32MB. The x86 version of the driver just doesn't support QE. The best you can get is OpenGL support.

ATIRadeon.kext driver supports the card just fine in the manner it is meant to support it.

Maybe the omni driver will support this card and QE, but at this time it is not possible.
