sg
Seems with 10.5.4, Firewire has stopped working properly for me on my hackintoshes (P5K Premium onboard and P5W-DH onboard). the default apple drivers have worked unpatched in 10.4.3 or whatever, in system profiler it is detecting the bus and if i connect a device to it (such as an external drive), it will detect the bridge chip the drive is using (in this case oxford 911 chipset) but not the drive or anything. i've tried 2 different drives and tried it in both my P5K Premium and my P5W-DH, same thing. has anyone else noticed this? is it as simple as going back to a 10.5.3 firewire driver? Lakiopaalu
No problems here – 10.5.4, hardware specs on sig. – both ports working (one in the back, one from the mobo to the front panel) Tested with: – a bus-powered 2,5' HD, – by assinging a IP-over-FireWire-address and connecting to an older G4 that I use as a server & TV-Mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117662-1054-firewire-issues-p5k-premium-and-others/#findComment-834367 Share on other sites
