I've just decided to buy the following hardware for my new hackintosh system,

is this configuration ok? may it cause problems? would you change something?

i want to buy it at computeruniverse.net

as i'm a graphic designer, it is important that my system is able to handle with big amounts of picture files

gaming is not so important, but starcraft 2 and diablo 3 should work fluently :help:

thank you!

I would go ATI instead of Nvidia.

Quoted for truth. ATI cards have always been stronger in OpenGL than nVidia cards anyways, which is what OS X uses for hardware acceleration. Add that to the fact that the current gen of ATI cards are a better value and faster than their nVidia counterparts, and ATI makes the most sense right now.

okay, is there a special ati card between 110 and 150 you could reccomend me?

thank you :D

Well, I am in the US, so the best I can do is give you a link in USD:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814131112

google says that is 126.25 Euros. So something like one of the HD4850 cards would do nicely. I am just not 100% sure about OS X compatibility, so it might be good to do some research.

You mean 8800GT? Yes, 8800GT is faster than the 3870 but in Mac OS the 3870 is faster than the 8800GT.

So for windows and games, 8800GT is better, for Mac OS X Core Image, 3870 is the fastest.

But both are good cards, and there isn't a huge difference.

i will play the perfomance-games with windows, so i finally decided to buy this graphic chip:

MSI 8800GT OC

is there anyting left to complain about? if not, i will buy this hardware set.

Well, if you do Windows gaming, you've made the right choice. 8800GT is what i'm running myself.
