dorkbydesign.
A few weeks back I read about this thing called Darwine and apparently it let me run Windows apps on Mac. I used it to run Windows Live Messenger until now. I thought about playing Crysis through Darwine. Just as I finished installing, I ran Crysis and it was missing every single DLL file it requires to run. I just realized it depends on DirectX 9.0c or 10(a/:( to run. Since mac uses OpenGL for 3D gaming, how do I get DirectX 9.0c to come over to mac. Remember this guys. I cant even run Crysis. Oh also, it cant find the files it needs from DLL hell. Help would be appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117200-darwine-crysis-directx-dll-hell-horrible-mess/ Share on other sites
zarac
You should try Crossover Games, but do not expect Crysis to run smoothly. jesusfreak198989
I am going to have to say, chances are, even with wine you won't get Crysis to run. Wine did just reach 1.0 though, but even then, Your odds are against you, Cider would have a better chance of working, since its essentially a Cedega port. Good luck though, Its a project I would do, specially since It shouldn't work lol. djet
One idea. Download Trix (comes with the .dmg for Darwine) and use that to install directx 9c I'm currently trying to get Warhammer to work.
