Sweety
I have a Apple Bluetooth keyboard in combination with a Logitech Bluetooth mouse. Both work fine under OS X86 10.4.4 and Windows XP on my Sony Vaio PCGZ1XMP. The keyboard had pairing problems under the Widcomm 5.0.??? Bluetooth stack after the second boot but with the Microsoft Stack (where you can enter your own pass-key) it works perfect. This lines are written with it :-) Sweety Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11712-apple-keyboard/page/2/#findComment-73935 Share on other sites
belgrano
Sorry to bring that up again, but is there any way (an option, system tweak or 3rd party app) you can remap the eject key from a non Apple keyboard (F12) to some other special key, let's say 'Scroll Lock'? I coundn't find in Sys Prefs>Keyboard & Mouse an option to do that. macgirl
Anyone use Ukelele to do a PC compatible keyset? I don't understand how to do that <_>Yes I used to make a key layout for my ergonomic natural MS KB in LA spanish, since the Key layout of Mac OS differs some, also I used to make one for my Apple Bluetooth Wireless KB since the Spanish key layout gives comma instead of dot in the Numeric Pad, that's great for Spain (europe) but in Mexico or LatinAmerica we use dot as cents separation. kernalzero
does anyone know if these keyboards will work with osx86 (picture below)? They are pretty cheap on ebay but if they don't work i'll just buy the $29 apple keyboard from apple. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11712-apple-keyboard/page/2/#findComment-86071 Share on other sites
JimBob
The best keyboard I've found, which is not made by apple, but it is for both Mac and Windows computers is the Macally USB Slim Keyboard IceKey. It's a low profile low travel keyboard. I find that I can type faster with less need for corrections than any keyboard I've ever used. I don't usually care a whole lot about the keyboard I'm using, but this one is really great! dualBooter
Hiya kernalzero, That is the exact keyboard I've been using on my installs. I have no problem with it on 10.4.1/10.4.4/10.4.5 installs. Even the power button on the KB works for sleep/wake. I have a MacAlly trackball hooked up to the keyboard's USB port - it works flawlessly as well. I've noticed many of the 915G chipsets have occasional trouble with sound or lan with native installs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11712-apple-keyboard/page/2/#findComment-86227 Share on other sites
