Inferno Warrior
Hi, All. I'm a Java developer and I've decided to try macOS (downloading iso at the moment ). I'd like to know what version of JRE/JDK (if any) shipped with osX? Is there any Java version available from vendors other than Apple? Inferno Warrior
1.3.1, 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 are on OSx86 10.4.3. As I understand, these are JDKs and they are developed by Apple. Am I right? Inferno Warrior
Installed a lot of stuff (JBoss, Tomcat, etc). And I've just discovered in the other topic that Eclipse/SWT also runs fine under OSx86. Sounds great Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11689-java-for-osx86/#findComment-74517 Share on other sites
dripple
Sorry for jumping in: Does it mean that Mac OS X 10.4.3 is SHIPPED with all current Java-VM's? That would be really nice! alc0h0lic
I'm using Netbeans Enteprise Pack 5.5 PREVIEW which is actually a universal binary and is pretty nice to work it. Since version 5, I prefer NetBeans over Eclipse 3.2B check it out and njoy coding: http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatoo...enterprise/tpr/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11689-java-for-osx86/#findComment-88259 Share on other sites
geo2002
Guys, try Jetbrains IDEA (http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/) - the best IDE for Java. It doesn't have so much plugins as Eclipse but after short time you'll understand that their tag line 'develop with pleasure' is more than true.
