Mobile_Ram
Can not get disk to start the install. Ive burned many disks, many ISO(AMD) verisons, and used multiple programs to burn all at low speed. It goes through the scroll of text for the install, then sits their at different points (dependant on the CODES i use at boot screen {ex. -x ,-f ,-s ,ect}) SYSTEm (homebrew) Info from cpu-z: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+ (Windsor)-Brand-4 mmx(+), 3dnow!(+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, x86-64 Motherboard: Biostar ,MDL- TF560 A2+, nForce 560 R3 (Phoenix Tech) x2 (1024 Gb-Memorychip) PC2-5300 SATA DVD/CDRW, SATA DVD, SATA 200GB HD, IDE 80GB(empty) Nvidia 8800GT Video Disabled biult-in video Biult-in Network , pci card network. I had hoped someone will show me my error based on my listing of parts. Is their a specific ISO that works only here? Is their something special needed to do to the ISO. zurie
ok 1) your system isn't FULLY COMPATIBLE. otherwise it would be a intel chipset and a intel CPU running pure vanilla kernel. but yes.. you "probably" can make it run on your AMD and your motherboard. 2) you posted and not even 24 hours later you {censored} cause noone has responded? 3) Download Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD ISO - try that 4) download iATKOS 2.0 5) download Leo4Allv3 and try that. 6 - once you get one of the CD's to at least install, you can start troubleshooting a bit better what the issues are. Go in and try installing it with no drivers and try the different kernels. use the search function and / or see if you can find someone with a signature that has your motherboard, see if you can PM them or see what they used. etc. good luck. cgsheen
No... - You MIGHT get OSx86 running on your hardware. -- a. Download Zephyroth 10.5.2 - try that -- b. Download Leo4All - try that -- c. Download Kalyway (amd) - try that -- d. you can also try the others, but if you can't make it work with the 3 above, it's probably NOT going to work at all... You have a LOT of reading to do - hit the forums and start searching for how others solved problems with your specific chipsets (MB, LAN, Audio, Video, and drive support) The people running this place should kick out the freeloaders Dude... You better hope not. You'd be one of the first to go... Mobile_Ram
= What I have tried<> Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD ISO, iATKOS 1.0, Leo4Allv3 Laptop Hp DV9225(9000 series) others got it to work with Iatkos 1,0; It goes to the F8-boot screen, but no matter what i type (flags) at the boot screen it just restarts the computer, on all disks. (burned at 1x). Same disks above: on Desktop Desktop Dual AMD also as above all SATA Everything as above. This one will go thru upto the point of Waiting on device again trying mutilpe (flags). On all 3 disks. Now their are people on THIS forum that has my laptop and they say they just burned the iAtkos1.0v?? and put it in the drive and boom their at the screen to setup the HD. Ive not reached that yet on anything. My I a friends laptop here its a 2.8ghz Intel Laptop and all the disks go thru the data readout and after about 1 min restarts the computer. just frustrating.
