Hi

I've tried to install iAktos v1.0, and it failed.

Has anybody else got it to work with my same Spec's?

- MSI P7N nForce 750i SLI Platinum

Intel Core 2 Duo E5500 2.0GHz

Gainward GeForce 8500GT 256MB

@ iAktos, when i saw the boot screen, I pressed F2 then -v

Then it loaded, but stopped after 15-20sec.

Kinda stuck, tried like 20 times, but it always stops.

N33d help, please! :(

MSI mobos often need a modded kernel.....read this thread.....and see here......Kabyl may be able to help you..... :D

This thread is stale...anyone figure out if the P7N can run hack osx yet? I noticed Kabyl hasnt yet generated moded p7n bios...though no one seems to have asked yet. Looking for a status as I am downloading a few of the iso's to try now.

You could alternatively in the meantime, while waiting to see Kabyl will produce a modded MSI P7N BIOS, try iATKOS_v1.0ir2-EqUaTe1+BadBIOS.ppf.......... :(

BTW for future Qs to me......please post in my nForce Series 7 chipset + Intel CPU thread

hey another 7 series user trying here with no luck and similar results ... kalyway disk freezes at boot up ... ideneb installs and depending on kernel either endlessly reboots or freezes and says need to restart (kernel panic) hopfully we will be able to figure something out soon

I am a new to these forums but I noticed some posters in this thread are using the P7N SLI and the P7N Diamond. These are 2 completely different boards so watch out when you download a BIOS.

MSI P7N Diamond vs. MSI P7N SLI Platinum

BTW I have a P7N Diamond and am interested in doing an OSX86 install but I am still in my "researching" phase. Any tips would be apprecciated.

I know this is an old thread, but seeing as there was a post at 3am this morn.. i figure I might as well post...

I have been trying to get os x 10.5.5 on my machine for 3 days now....

I have been able to install it just fine... and once the system reboots after starting i get stuck in a reboot loop..

Basically i get the darwin screen.. and then it says "starting osx86" or something to that effect (it flashes REALLY fast)

then the screen flashes grey for a split second and then reboots...

I have tried

-x

-s

-v

And all end up with the same outcome...

I have also tried the BIOS flash fix too

from http://www.osxcores.site50.net/page1/page1.html

Specs of my machine...

MSI P7N SLI 750i Platinum

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz

XFX PVT84JUSD4 GeForce 8600 GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

I am running two XFX cards.. SLI but I have taken the second one out for testing (tried both setups)

The network card is integrated into the MOBO

The audio Card is integrated into the MOBO

Hard drive is a seagate IDE 250

iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5

Thanks all!!!

Make Sure HPET & XD ( XD= Execute Bit Disabling it enabled ) is turn on in the Bios settings.

Hi,

It's my first post here and have a very similar setup.

mobo: MSI P7N SLI nforce 750i

graphics:9800GTX+ 512MB, Overclocked

processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Processor - 2.83GHz

RAM: 6GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM memory

Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s hard drive

I just wanted to add that after changing my BIOS to 'XD = enabled' darwin booted and I was able to get into the installer. It had been hanging every time up until then. This only seems to work for leo4all v3. I had tried iAtkos 5i with no luck. To get to the install screen I have to set cpus=1 . Once I have selected all the proper drivers(I think) the install locks after about 5 minutes. I've noticed that some people seem to be having issues with the RAM as well and wondering if I need to modify this by setting 'maxmem=2048'?

I've also noticed people recommending the modded BIOS's. I did not see mine in the list there as I don't have the diamond P7N SLI. Would love to here some stories of people who have succeeded with this MOBO.

Thanks and great forums!
