B612
Yep! That's true! I can't believe, after installing everything and uploading everything!! Well, I have Adobe Creative Suite 2 (CS2), which includes many applications, including Photoshop CS2. Everything works but Photoshop CS2. It starts loading and after awhile, it crashes. It gives me this error: Date/Time: 2006-03-07 01:00:55.206 +0100OS Version: 10.4.5 (Build 8G1454) Report Version: 4 Command: Adobe Photoshop CS2 Path: /Applications/Grafica/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Adobe Photoshop CS2.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Parent: WindowServer [2599] Rosetta: Yes Version: 9.0 (9.0x196) (9.0) PID: 3155 Thread: 0 Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x70000100 Thread 0 Crashed: 0 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8080bcf 0xb8000000 + 527311 1 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb807b09e 0xb8000000 + 503966 2 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb808f402 0xb8000000 + 586754 3 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb80e3da5 spin_lock_wrapper + 2799 Thread 1: 0 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb81f2a9b strchr + 72 1 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb818e1da pthread_cond_wait + 3114 2 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb812a660 catch_exception_raise_state_identity + 320 3 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8129b8a CallPPCFunctionAtAddressInt + 174048 4 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8129a81 CallPPCFunctionAtAddressInt + 173783 5 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb812a75e catch_exception_raise_state_identity + 574 6 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb81c3bbc pthread_create + 1124 Thread 2: 0 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb80f7eeb spin_lock_wrapper + 85045 1 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8122a64 CallPPCFunctionAtAddressInt + 145082 2 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8125515 CallPPCFunctionAtAddressInt + 156011 3 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb809a2e6 0xb8000000 + 631526 Thread 3: 0 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb80f7d28 spin_lock_wrapper + 84594 1 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb8110e54 CallPPCFunctionAtAddressInt + 72362 2 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb80818b6 0xb8000000 + 530614 3 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb807b09e 0xb8000000 + 503966 4 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb808f402 0xb8000000 + 586754 5 com.adobe.Photoshop 0xb80e46ca spin_lock_wrapper + 5140 Thread 0 crashed with i386 Thread State: eax: 0x00000002 ebx: 0xb8080ba6 ecx:0x70000100 edx: 0x00000000 edi: 0x70000100 esi: 0x00000000 ebp:0xb7fffa08 esp: 0xb7fff9d0 ss: 0x0000002f efl: 0x00010202 eip:0xb8080bcf cs: 0x00000027 ds: 0x0000002f es: 0x0000002f fs:0x00000000 gs: 0x00000037 etc.... B612
I found out that it was because of an incompatibility with the TWAIN plugin. So, since the only program giving problems was photoshop, I copied the file TWAIN.plugin in the folder Plug-Ins/Adobe ImageReady Only. This way Photoshop loads and works well (without Twain, unfortunately), and Image Ready works completely well. xiberia
Photoshop works fine for me, no problems. However, its probably a good idea to move the TWAIN plugin as you suggested. Don't want any nasty crashes. For scanning, try Vuescan: http://www.hamrick.com/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11234-ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh/#findComment-70531 Share on other sites

B612
No problems with CS2 here - mbp 1.83GHz. What scanner do you have? I think that's the true problem, because everything goes well after removing the twain.plugin from the plug-ins folder. I have an Epson. You can read it in my signature. I have looked also at the Adobe forum, and so many users with 10.4.5 and Epson scanners have had the same problem of mine. B612
Meanwhile, I have totally changed my configuration, hardware and software. I don't use an Epson scanner (I switched to Canon), I am not using Tiger, as I used to (now I have Leopard) and I am not using CS2 (now I have CS4). I have even formatted the hard disk I had when I started this topic, so I cannot help georgeorange. Sorry!
