Hello,

I installed MacOsX (Iaktos 2) on my pc where linux and vista were installed. When I finally manage to recover the mbr for the 3 OSs, I discovered that linux and vista had big problems I could not solve but with all reinstalling, what I did.

But since then, I feel that my windows and my linux do not work as good as it used to. And since the installation of mac (or me) messed up the othe partitions, I am wondering if it could remain some things and how I could get the whole thing clean of MAc.

Thanks

PS : I don't work for mac, I don't try to scrare new comers

OS X won't touch anything in the filesystems of Linux or Windows.

If either of those OSes doesn't seem to work as well, I would venture to say that what you are noticing is the OS trying to read/work with the new HFS+ partition they see on the HD. By default neither of these OSes reads HFS+ partitions, so its like trying to access an unreadable CD and takes time.

IF this is the issue you are seeing, re-formatting the HFS+ partition to FAT32 will help.

Other than that, you need to define what "I feel that my windows and my linux do not work as good as it used to" means.

what I mean by "I feel that my windows and my linux do not work as good as it used to" is that when I reinstalled windows and Linux, I feel windows was slower, and I have problems with linux I had not in the past.

Whether it's my fault or not, my pc is not as it should be or used to be. So I would like to make it as it was when I opnen its box, but not only the HD but everything (I don't know if I'm being clear).

There is no way we can help you because these statements aren't quantifiable.

I can say that whatever issues you may have or think you have in Windows and Linux has nothing to do with OS X.

Have you erased the OS X partition? Is the Darwin bootloader removed?

You see these kind of statements in OS forums all the time. <insert distro> Linux broke my Windows... FreeBSD broke my Windows... Solaris broke my Windows... ad nauseum. None of these things broke your Windows. You broke your Windows because you didn't read and did something stupid.

I erased the OSX partition. As for the Darwin bootloader, I think so, since I reinstalled windows, the MBR must be rewritten. But if I'm wrong, how can I remove the darwin bootloader ? When I boot, there's nothing unusual. Maybe I delete it, maybe only partially, maybe not at all

thanks
