Go into Diskutility and fix permissions

Really? Seems like kind of a lazy answer to a real question.

I've tried fixing permissions as well as reinstalling PCgenUSBEHCI (and a bunch of other stuff) and nothing will work. I keep getting this error coupled with ATA errors when trying to start up Kalyway 10.5.2 on a AMD Opteron NForce4 Ultra-D rig.

Definitely still a problem for many people. Bumpity bump. Help! please? :):(

Okay - the work around i found for this problem, or what worked for me at least

I got this exact problem, from start to finish this is what i did

1: Installed kalyway combo 10.5.3 update from kalyway 10.5.2 install

2: Installed the kernel and didnt select any kernels in the options

3: Rebooted

4: Let it boot itself and got hang up on grey screen with loading sign

5: Rebooted, pressed F8 at prompt and tried -v

6: Got "Failed to load extension com.orByte.driver.PCGenUSBEHCI" error

7: Rebooted, pressed F8 at promt typed: "update -v" (without quotes)

DONT touch it, only takes less than a minute but it could be mistaken for a hang up - it will reboot itself

8: At F8 prompt typed -v and it loaded with no problems at all.

This fix really helped after a wifi device rendered my hackintosh EP35-DS3L rig unbootable, thank you!
