littlepr Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 DO NOT USE THE 10.4.4 install DVD to create the partitions. That is what probably f'd your HDD. Try to get the 10.4.3 Jas patched install DVD and use that to create the partitions. If I were you I would try to get the 10.4.4/10.4.5 Install DVD with the myzar patch. asapreta Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 I´ve done that. Booted up JAS 10.4.3 DVD, created the DISC for 10.4.5 (myzar). REstarted with Myzar 10.4.4/5 DVD Installed everything but after boot got the damn _ cursor in my screen. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Philip Aronowitz Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 I had the same problem so I took my old 10.4.3 cd installed it fresh (redid the partitions again just for good measure), then took the myzar cd and installed it as "upgrade".
