TREOdeJaneiro
I just bought a VIA VT6306 firewire card to put into my G4, it does the same thing you're saying, I can see it listed in my PCI section of System Profiler, but nothing I connect to it is recognized. How do I get this card to work? BTW, the drives, cameras, etc. that I try in it can be seen my original firewire ports, so I know it's not the devices. I'm on 10.4.11 also. Aaronious
The only cards I can find in Thailand are VIA VT6306 and VT6307. I've bought both of these cards and neither one works under 10.5.6, 10.5.7 and 10.5.8. Same problem as listed above. The OS sees the cards but no devices I plug in will mount. My iphone and camera get power but never sync or show up as connected. I'm wondering if the problem is my Motherboards chipset, since I've tested on two machines both with ICH7 and the osx86 wiki compatibility chart lists the VT6306 card as "works OOB" >:-S
